This coat was exactly what I was looking for, fleece inside, water repellent outside, not too thick, back zip (no velcro) and built in safety belt. It was true to size, fit my dog perfectly according to the size chart and looked great. I tied the leash and outside the door we took our first walk. Within 10 minutes we encountered another dog, my dog reached out to greet the other dog and all the harnesses were pulling at the seams. The harness has NO reinforcement, it does not wrap around the dog's body on the inside (between the layers of the jacket) and only a series of regular stitching keeps the harness in place. My dog is 30 pounds and isn't aggressive - it was a nervous, strong step forward and the whole thing gave way, the top two stitched shoulders came out first, and before I even had a chance to realize what had just happened, Die bottom two also pulled out immediately. Luckily we weren't on a busy street and I had his collar on so I could get him home safely. Clearly returned and without a new order. Very disappointed. This jacket could be perfect - what a ridiculous way to cut corners with flimsy seams to attach a dog halter and potentially endanger your dog too. Unless you plan on using an optional holster, don't buy it. But then what's the point?
