iJoy P26 Rechargeable Bluetooth Headphones (because Revane likes to combine reviews of similar but unrelated products) I bought two pairs of these; one for my son and one for me. My son likes to go for a walk while listening to music and I just need something when I don't want to disturb the rest of the household while I'm looking at something on Plex. Neither of us are audiophiles, but we like our stuff to sound good. I wasn't expecting much given the price and was pleasantly surprised to find the sound almost as good as a much more expensive pair of wired headphones. I've had headphones for over 10 years. They don't cancel out all background noise, but I wouldn't want that since I'm not trying to completely shut out the outside world. However, they cancel out more than enough background noise to keep most distractions out of the way. The sound is much richer than I would have expected from such inexpensive (cheap) headphones - as long as I select "stereo sound" in the sound settings. Apparently "mono audio" is meant to be used as a phone headset, but it's terrible for listening to music or TV sound. The range is quite acceptable. We live in a decent house and these headphones can almost take you from one end to the other. The range limit is between my bedroom and the kitchen (over 30 feet). By comparison, my phone headset starts losing signal before I even cross the living room (or about 20-25 feet away). I didn't test how long the battery lasts but my son uses the headphones for hours and the first day we had them I watched a few episodes of NCIS with them and didn't have to charge them. Also, unless you're sitting next to a PC or laptop, it appears that these headphones can be used while charging, although the USB cable is too short for that. without a Bluetooth connection, although (like the charging cable) it's too short for that unless you're sitting next to the sound source. Headphones can also pick up radio stations, but we live in a rural area and radio reception without an external antenna is patchy at best, so I didn't test this. It also claims to have a built in microphone and can be used as a phone headset but the only time I use a headset with my phone is when I'm driving and these headphones should NEVER be used while driving as they also do block out a lot of the background noise you want to hear. The only complaints I have are minor ones. First, the blue indicator light that shows the headphones are plugged in and turned on is too bright. It's enough to light up my room at night. It's also bright enough to light up the entire earbud on lighter models. We solved this problem (mostly) with duct tape. Second, the volume controls are the same buttons used to move forward and backward on a media player. Press the button once to go forward/backward and press and hold to increase or decrease volume. As my son points out, there's plenty of room on the earbud for separate volume and media skip buttons. TL; DR: My son and I were pleasantly surprised by the sound quality of these inexpensive headphones. The volume and skip forward/back controls should be separate, but that's a minor inconvenience. Also, manufacturers should stop using blue LEDs, which are visible from space.
