Depends on how big your kids are. It didn't fit a 7/8 year old girl but was two sizes too big for a 4 year old girl. The older girl is usually the smaller size in her class, but the vest didn't look like it was made for a 7-year-old. More like 5-6 years. I bought two of these sets. A 4-year-old girl can wear it for another 2 years before outgrowing it. The 7/8 year old left the waistcoat open and it was a little tight getting on and off, luckily it's still flexible. The older girl thought she was "Dino Dana" in the vest and she was unbuttoned like a TV character. Both were enthusiastic about the set and the accompanying articles. Reminder to Parents: Don't be scared if you see a spider in a magnifying glass. It's just a toy.
