I recently bought an ice cream maker and also bought these bags. I haven't really studied the reviews because they're just ice packs. How can you save money making ice packs? You have a job - to be strong enough to deal with the ice? I filled my first bag about 3/4 full and put it in the freezer. When it came time to use it, the ice froze, so I do what any normal person would do, drop it several feet to the ground to break the ice. I didn't drop it knee-deep off a three-story house. The floor cracked and ice fell on the floor.
