Review on Hunter Fan Company 59451 Dempsey by Harley Franchetti

We have four Hunter fans in our house so we are loyal to the brand and generally like this product. This model called Dempsey is elegant and modern. It has four blades, a compact brushed nickel body and an LED that never goes out. Sounds amazing! But damn, this thing was PAINFUL to put together. The screws are in odd places and it's difficult to align the blades. Wiring is a nightmare because this thing has no pull chains or manual controls. Good luck with the remote control. I have yet to get it working. I had problems with two Hunter fans only working remotely. In the future I will avoid any model that only has this option. It just never works. but what if you lose the remote control? Disappointment. I like the look of this model. But boy is it tedious to assemble and the remote control doesn't work. Now it's an expensive LED bulb hanging from the ceiling, waiting to be replaced with a more traditional fan that works. I would recommend only using this model if you have an electrician who can handle this damn thing. Beware of do-it-yourself installers!
