The shoe is a bit too long but can be put on very easily to keep the shoe on the baby's foot. My daughter loves taking her shoes off and I thought that would be an issue as they are large but the laces and design of the shoes allow them to be tightened in the right spot where she cannot take them off. These are soft-soled shoes and are not suitable for walking outdoors. They don't have much support for running toddlers. I only got them for photos, if you are looking for your child to wear them outside and run around I would not recommend them.
