I was hoping it wasn't your typical cheap junk, with horrible instructions, wobbly assembly even when done right and it doesn't look very good either. Got exactly what I wanted. In terms of construction, it's a very strong wood, pressed or whatever it's made of. Very firm and supportive. The metal frame is also very well made, clean welds in the corners. Took about 30 minutes to assemble, I used a Phillips screwdriver* and now it holds my AV receiver on top and the subwoofer on the bottom. slightly higher than the cable so it can be plugged in from behind and doesn't hit the rear frame support when you push it. So I grabbed my Dremel and got to work cutting a small hole in the back panel of wood. I made the mistake of putting my dremel set in the shed before trying it and of course it wasn't carved enough. So I just removed the legs from the bottom of the subwoofer and now it sits perfectly with the cable connected to the receiver, no kinks at all. And you can't see the cut from any angle. Overall this is a quality product and I will keep this manufacturer in mind for future purchases.
