Howork did an excellent job with this planetary mixer. It has everything you would expect from a professional blender. From 6 speeds controlled by an electronic speed selector and quick pulse, to a sturdy, heavy-duty stainless steel bowl with dual handles and locks at the bottom of the blender. Excellent attachments that are VERY well made with an easy twist lock connection on the blender and a large see through dome that allows you to see what's going on in the bowl, add ingredients without spilling them all over the kitchen. The mixer has suction cups that help keep it securely in place, which is especially useful when kneading dough at high speeds. The engine itself is very quiet. The gearbox that drives the planetary rotation of the mixing head and agitator is also very quiet. There is a blue LED on the speed selector knob that will flash when the mixer is plugged in and not mixing. Then calmly while working. I don't use my blender every day. But if I want cake, tart or cobbler, I make it myself. From time to time I also like to bake my own bread. This blender is perfect for my purposes. Five stars.
