. Unfortunately we could not use this device because Epiphan Webcaster X2 does not support it. At the time of this writing (5/2018) Webcaster X2 seems to only support UVC webcams, not UVC capture devices. (Which is silly, because the whole point of the UVC protocol is to provide video/audio without platform-specific drivers.) Too bad, because we've seen AVermedia's "Extreme Cap UVC HDMI to USB" in action, and it works very well. . Hopefully one day Epiphan will be successful and we can use our Webcaster X2 with one of these Extreme Cap units.
