Best single purpose capture card I've ever used and I've used several.

latency, but most importantly it actually displays videos saying things like "no feed coming from camera" while all other capture cards just show you a black screen, that helps you figure out what's going wrong.

Pros
  • . Delivery was very fast.
Cons
  • . Hard to say.

I was going to give him Zero Stars

I got two of these in three months, both stopped working, no more picture taking just a red light on the card taken, for the price this should work forever a bad product, or is it a faulty batch? Thank God Revain refunded my money as this product is most likely a sample. Go elsewhere to buy a capture card. You're actually better off with a $15 Chinese card than this $100+ card.

Does not accept 1080P 24FPS input. Use to record videos (Mac)

If you want to use 1080p24 signal, this may not be for you. It didn't exist on my Mac. When I switched the camera to 1080p60 everything worked, although there were a lot of streaks in the gradients. I have a cheap HornetTek HDMI USB 3.0 that was almost half the price and received all signals with no visible bands. It also has fairly low latency, comparable to my much more expensive Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 which doesn't accept a 1080p60 signal.

  • Alright!

Just don't try to use it with Epiphan Webcaster X2

. Unfortunately we could not use this device because Epiphan Webcaster X2 does not support it. At the time of this writing (5/2018) Webcaster X2 seems to only support UVC webcams, not UVC capture devices. (Which is silly, because the whole point of the UVC protocol is to provide video/audio without platform-specific drivers.) Too bad, because we've seen AVermedia's "Extreme Cap UVC HDMI to USB" in action, and it works very well. . Hopefully one day Epiphan will be successful and we can use our…

Works great on Mac, no drivers needed

I can record in both 1080p and 720p, the latency is low. Love the fact that it has a USB and HDMI connection indicator so you know everything is connected and working. No drivers are needed on a Mac. I am currently using Catalina and it shows up as a webcam on the system so I can use it with OBS Studio, Jitsi, Zoom etc. I bought 3, use it with a couple of Canon Vixias and to record video from my laptop. They appear as separate devices when they are all connected to the same computer, allowing…

I am using this USB external capture card to connect a DSLR camera, in my case a Nikon D3300, to use it as a webcam, stream camera for twitch and record videos on my computer via StreamLabs OBS. So instead of buying a webcam that I would be disappointed with, I bought AVerMedia ExtremeCAP UVC. This device is plug and play like no other plug and play device before it. Seriously, it's easy! It records lag-free video at 1080p 60fps and works seamlessly with everything I've tried. So far I've used…

I got it working with a beta firmware found via reddit

This stock firmware product doesn't work at all with the Panasonic GH4 camera. However, I managed to find a beta firmware (google "BU110 beta firmware" for a link), ran a windows exe to update the firmware and it worked. AverMedia really needs to release the newer firmware on their website and start shipping devices with working firmware. Now that it works, it uses far less CPU than other HDMI capture devices on my Mac because it supports the USB UNCOMPRESSED stream type. Other capture devices…

Great card in itself but it saved my Elgato from the trash.

I originally got this card because I didn't think the Elgato HD60 S would work with my PC. what was my real problem. I used the USB ports on my case and tested AverMedia with some sample recordings. I noticed horrible video/audio desync and very slow response at USB 2.0 recording speeds and slight audio lag with near perfect USB 3.0 response. Elgato was unable to connect to any of the 3.0 ports on my motherboard. Everything was perfect. This led me to my other test the next day. Things to know…
