I bought two of these, one for each of my dogs. For some reason I figured the center would stretch so I could detach it from the included collar and put it on my boy's own collar. Not only does the middle bit not stretch, it is also not attached to the bow. I tried to remove the bow tie from the included collar and the wings (?) of the bow tie came out. Since I don't know what these words actually mean, here is the diagram. These >+< bow ties > and < are a single piece of fabric+ literally just a piece of fabric sewn ALL AROUND ><.+ not sewn in the middle >< If you pull one side, >< will pop right out. A simple solution to this problem is to sew + to >< itself. That being said, if you're lazy and don't want to do that, you can just change the >< setting to make it centered. If it's for a photo shoot or something, get them but I wouldn't say they're long lasting and I don't see them messing around with my boys. Aside from that I'm keeping them because the boy's collars match the collar and bow tie and that doesn't mean they're BAD, they could be better. I keep them with guys with the understanding that >< will go away one day. So 4 stars.
