Vaseline is much better for chapped lips, false advertising of lip balm.

I used lip balm as a kid and decided why not try again when my lips were cracked and bleeding. I've been using lip balm for a couple of weeks but haven't seen much of an improvement. So I bought Vaseline healing jelly and after 3 days my lips started to heal. Then I looked at the ingredients and it turned out that the lipstick only contains 42% white petroleum jelly, which is the main ingredient for lip healing. However, Vaseline is 100% white oil, so it works much better. Another thing that annoyed me about lip balm is that the front says the moisturizer lasts 8 hours, but if you read the little instructions on the back, lip balm says to reapply the lip balm at least every 2 hours and should not use on broken lips. defeats the target. So I guess our bodies healed a lot quicker when we were kids, which is probably why we loved lip balms back then. However, in adults, petroleum jelly heals the lips much better.
