Review on WAINLUX Engraving Machine: Your Ultimate Tool for Beading & Jewelry Making Success by Kim Sanchez

Has limitations but can still create amazing things

So I can't say it was the easiest machine to build. Instructions included, but no assembly instructions. Also the instruction videos on Revain are instructions for a different model than the one I received. After going through all the different pictures on the internet I finally put everything together as best as I could and crossed my fingers that it works. The laser cutting machine comes with a flash drive containing the driver and software needed to run the machine from the desktop. Once they have been downloaded to your computer and you are ready to use them, you will find that the program will open in the language other than English. Go to the gear at the top of the screen and change the language. This saves you a headache. There is also information on how to install the program on your mobile phone and manage it via Wi-Fi. After downloading the app to my phone, I couldn't find a place in the app to connect my wifi to it. There is a note in the manual that not all machines have this feature, so maybe my machine is one of those that doesn't have Wi-Fi capability. I've been playing with this machine for the past few weeks. I've tested it on card stock (which comes with the practice machine), leather, and wood. So far this has worked great for me. To be honest, if you're new to a laser engraving machine, it really is a lot of trial and error. This is my first time using such a machine and I had to deal with it. There are a few other things that I think are worth mentioning. First, always wear the supplied goggles to protect your eyes. The laser is insanely bright and can be hazardous to eye health. Second, depending on what you engrave, there will be an odor (e.g. burning smell) during use. You definitely want to use this in a well-ventilated area. I think the last thing I want to mention is that the ad claims the machine can cut. I tried this on leather when I wanted to carve a specific shape. Even when the machine was set to 100% depth, it didn't cut through the skin. Now that I know what the car can do, I'm happy with it. There are a few other things that I think are worth mentioning.
