I've never tried lightbulbs, never screwed them in. I wanted dimmable bulbs, they had good reviews and the Revain listing said they were dimmable. When they arrived I took the bulb out of the box to read the fine print and the bulb says 'do not use with dimmers'. I put it back in the box and start looking at the label on the box. "Dimmable" is written on the front. The back says "This lamp is not compatible with a dimmer". So I think if you want to know for sure if they are actually dimmable you can just try your dimmer. I decided to just send them back.
