I have a Dell 3040m (Micro) computer with an Intel i3-6100t processor. This computer has 2 video outputs - HDMI and DisplayPort. HDMI output is limited to 4K 30Hz, while DisplayPort supports 4K 60Hz (much easier on the eye). With the HDMI output, I was only able to get 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) at 30Hz instead of the 60Hz I wanted with good high-speed HDMI cables. This is the result of a limitation of the Intel 530 graphics for HDMI. I am using TESmart 4k 60hz KVM which uses HDMI cables. Since the HDMI output on a Dell 3040M computer only supports 30Hz, I tried this Cable Matters Active DisplayPort to 4K DisplayPort > HDMI adapter and it worked beautifully! After setting the refresh rate to 60Hz in the Intel graphics application, my 4K monitor works as it should (at 60Hz) with no issues. This is a great solution for limiting HDMI 4K 30Hz!
