You get what you pay for - good value, lightweight but not reliable

Love this. When I saw the dimensions I realized this is exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't looking for a TV stand, I was looking for a stand for my laptop. I'm a bit of an improviser who likes to find multiple ways to use something. Boring backstory: My laptop keyboard was acting up and I was too lazy to take it to the store to fix it. Most likely they will steal my computer for 2 weeks and then give it back to me, which as an avid writer I didn't have the patience for. I used an external keyboard with a crappy cable. So when I plug in the USB port, I have a hard time registering it on the laptop. It will continue to emit a cool beep when connecting and disconnecting. I have to partially move it before it gets to the right place and stays there. Sitting for 5 minutes is annoying so I need space to mount my keyboard but also to keep my laptop at eye level. This little stand does its job perfectly. Content: To be honest, I would prefer it if the screws weren't made of plastic. I doubt it would have cost much more to make from a stronger material. However, it does the job. You really don't need more, so I guess that's the rationale. However, I would feel a little more relaxed if the bolts themselves were stronger. Assembly: It took me exactly 12 minutes. I wasn't even driving fast. The instruction is one page and honestly if it wasn't there you could figure out what to do in just 1 minute of thought. If you attach the bottom shelf to the floor with screws, they won't stay in because the pivot at the bottom lifts it off the floor. You can use the small pieces of Styrofoam glued under the screw holes as cushions to hold the screws in place while you screw the bars. It annoys me a little when everything is done at once. The instructions say not to overtighten. I will also emphasize this. If you feel resistance, tighten it a little more and leave it at that. Don't go so far as to get him to move more. You damage the wood and the screw, and even with high-quality products this is possible. Product: I like it. It really should have been 4 stars because of the plastic screws but it's really not that big of a deal so I'll give it 5. I have a big head and a pencil neck so I feel like I have more neck problems than most people. My neck always hurts. Every night I have to sleep with a heating pad around my neck to avoid waking up in pain. I work a lot at my desk, so I look at the screen a lot. Standing up can help if the laptop is big enough, but after a few hours my legs start to die and I don't feel comfortable enough to focus well. I move a lot and this stand is incredibly easy to make. I mainly use it as a portable table around the house. At 9 inches tall, my hands can comfortably work on the keyboard below without hitting the "ceiling" as I gaze up at the top shelf, where my laptop sits at eye level to spare me the pain in my neck. the most comfortable furniture in the world, so while sitting on a low sofa, I place this "stand" on top of a high chair stool that is half the side of the stand and get to work. Remember that you get exactly what you pay for. It's not very durable. A few drops and I think you'll see chips and some loose screws or rods. The product itself was not packaged very well in my opinion. The sticks fell out of the packaging before the box was opened and there was movement throughout the box as well. No real complaints if nothing was broken off. I'm just so glad to be able to go back to work because of this "table". .
