I read a lot of reviews before buying and it seems like most people took a star off because the instructions were missing or maybe because the screw wasn't included. This backrest is 1/3 the price of most major brands but is very comfortable and easy to assemble. There are dozens of videos on the internet showing how to install if you are unsure about something. I also had to use a bolt from my bolt basket as the ones supplied were too long for the space allotted. If you're even a little mechanically inclined you should be able to install this backrest without drilling holes, either with a bolt from your trash can or using a hacksaw to shorten one of the supplied ones. If it was a well-known brand that cost over $200 I would be annoyed at the lack of instructions or the need for a different screw, but that's not the case. If you don't have a bolt basket, use the $140 you saved to buy a bolt. 10/10 would buy again.
