A good bag for personal items on the plane

Sometimes it's better to use a plain bag because you avoid the extra weight and padding of air travel. I wouldn't say this bag is very basic, but it's a simple and lightweight design that has all the necessary features. You basically get some big open pockets in this bag. If an empty pouch is fairly thin, it means there isn't excessive padding. Pretty much all of the padding is on the back, which cushions both your body and the laptop compartment. The main compartment, which houses the laptop, is very large and offers enough space for several laptops or books. There's even a small elastic pocket on the side that's easy to miss, it can be for a mouse. The second compartment is also quite large and offers space for several tablets/lighters. There is a zippered mesh pocket, which is very convenient. The second compartment is open at the top. There is a key fob in this area. On the front of the bag there is a small zipped pocket at the top, which is great for personal items. The large zippered pocket has no interior compartments and gives you plenty of room to store multiple chargers and cables. I love that there are stretchable mesh water bottle pockets on both sides. There's even a semi-hidden pocket on the back. big enough for passports, wallets and folded documents. You don't need any hard or sharp objects here as they are located right in your lower back. The small Napoleon pocket on the left strap is not very practical as it cannot be closed with a zipper. You don't want to put anything important there. Maybe I'd put on some lip balm. The inner lining is a medium gray which offers a lot more visibility than black but not as much as orange or light grey.
