Dog Walker/Trainer This is the best setup I've found, easily switch between dogs and use only sound for training or just vibration. I'm shocked about that too. I think the low setting is higher than I would like for smaller dogs. I gave a level 1 shock to a larger young dog to break the dog's crowbar, which very quickly became uncomfortable. I think this collar is suitable for medium to large dogs and for the most part only uses vibration for small dogs. Level 1 shocks make small dogs squeak, which means it's too strong. I think anything over 4 is cruel and not really needed by most dogs (not counting dogs that need rehab. For educational reasons). These are touchy topics of conversation and I just want to offer my own take on these collars
