This shirt is lightweight and soft. I never dress my dog, but he recently developed a rash under his "arm" and itches all the time. I applied Neosporin to redness but it scratched and licked. I didn't want to buy a cone as it prevents licking but doesn't scratch. I decided to try this shirt and it worked great! I drugged the dog with Neosporin and threw a shirt over his head. He's still trying to scratch himself, but it's scratching his shirt, not his skin. It looks good and makes it cute. This shirt served its purpose and my dog recovered. I definitely recommend this shirt as an alternative to plastic skittles. My dog is 10 pounds and about 12 inches long so I decided to buy the "10" back length. The size is right and my dog seems comfortable. I also like the fact that the bottom of the shirt is shorter so he can still pee without the shirt getting in the way.
