$150 could have added small bags of KLC and/or cleaning solution or calibration fluid (or up the price to 200, I paid 150, could pay 50 more). It's very accurate, but drifts incredibly quickly, requiring cleaning and recalibration after each use to keep readings accurate. If you're looking for a consistent way to measure your soil's PH without buying a $150 PH pen (and 4 $10-15 bottles of essential fluids needed for proper function). , simply water your substrate with PH-balanced water. and measure the effluent with a chemical kit. It costs you less and is accurate enough to really improve the quality of your grow. I like the product but doubt its effectiveness as although it looks like a pretty cool magic wand it is like an expensive paperweight without the necessary accessories.
