Not quite there: Review of the PUMA C-Rey sneakers

I had high hopes for the PUMA C-Rey sneakers - with their sleek black design and bold red accents, they looked like the perfect shoe for my active big kid. However, after a few wears, it becomes clear that these shoes just aren't quite right. On the plus side, they're definitely stylish - my kid loves the way they look and I have to admit the black-on-black design with red splashes really stands out. They're comfortable enough too, with decent arch support and a lightweight design that lets you wear them all day. However, where these shoes really fall short is their durability. Despite being marketed as "big kid" shoes, they just don't hold up very well to my kids' rough adventures. The soles wear out quickly, which is ugly and dangerous from a safety point of view. Overall, while the PUMA C-Rey sneakers have certain style cues, their lack of durability leaves something to be desired. If you're looking for a shoe that can keep up with an active kid, this might not be the best choice.

Pros
  • Good shoes, well made, buy suede protection
Cons
  • The black and risqué red color scheme may not be practical for every occasion, limiting its versatility and appeal.
