My cat is one of the most expensive and picky cats. She refuses to use the toys we buy her and ignores all the scratches. It just scratched our sofas, fabric chairs, and fabric headboards. She completely destroyed it, and instead we got one made out of wood, although the fabric looks better IMHO. My boyfriend and I were on the verge of giving up nice furniture until I came across this product. Having already spent hundreds on other products I chose this one as it is quirky and she seems to prefer furniture as she can arch her back when scratching. My cat is obsessed! She always sits on it! She scratches him and sleeps on him. I put one in each room so it doesn't scratch the furniture. Luckily, she basically quit. Sometimes she does back stretches on my couch, but I call her name and she immediately runs to her scratch. It is sent from God. Even the cat seems to love it and always looks so happy lying on it. This was the best cat purchase I have ever made. PS don't pay attention to the tape in the photo. My friend's kids threw it off the balcony when we weren't looking lol it's a very durable product and it only broke at the fold when thrown from 15ft.
