This bin is a must for anyone who loves to cook! I love cooking fresh food. As you know, when you cut and dice something, you end up with pieces and wet waste that starts to stink in the kitchen trash can. I have a large trash can under the sink, but I kept opening and closing it and touching the trash can. This is unsanitary as you can get infected with E. coli, salmonella or other nasty germs. Also, you need to take the garbage out a day or two after cooking because the garbage will start to smell. Touch the old junk. This works very well. I would hang one on my kitchen cupboard and throw out the trash while I slice and dice. The automatic lid is very easy and hygienic to use. You can turn on the light with the back of your hand and throw the trash in. I take out the garbage after I've finished cooking. No more smelly garbage in the big kitchen bin. It's so useful that I want to buy another one and put it next to my desk.
