Review on ๐Ÿ„ Garmin Instinct Solar Surf - Cloudbreak Smart Watch by Ewa Firlej แ Œ

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

After several generations of phoenixes, from which only negative memories remained, mainly due to the complete discrepancy between their sad quality and the barrage of prices, I fell in love with these instincts. Adversity-resistant plastic case, adequate stable operation of gps, of course, the operating time is almost a month (without track recording and pulse measurement), excellent screen readability. Everything in them is more or less harmonious, and everything is against phoenixes. Weight, size, menu speed, even the belt is better. Yes, you should not count on solar charging while wearing (except to hook it onto the strap of a backpack from the sunny side for the whole day) But, nevertheless, it was possible to charge them, for the sake of experiment, by putting a powerful flashlight on the lens for several hours. But where is the problem - the watch does not charge from the power bank, apparently, the bank does not see them due to low current consumption, and is cut off after a couple of minutes of operation. On a hike, charging the watch is problematic, and this is bad. I tried about five banks, the story is the same everywhere. In general, a successful model that has everything you need, and there is nothing that you donโ€™t need, or it is implemented inconveniently and is useless in essence (for example, maps).

Pros
  • Finally a Garmin watch to recommend. A more or less adequate price, finally normal case materials, finally there are almost no glitches, the watch is fast and simple in a good way. Of course it's work time.
Cons
  • A few glitches are limited to the charging issue and the issue of persistent notifications (usually about missed calls, but this is rare)
