The small reservoir at the top holds water and/or ice, making it more than just a fan and much quieter than desktop fans. Cooling mode uses some water, but you can switch between it and main fan mode. Some condensation has accumulated, but not critical. Great for bed, especially with lighting options! The price is a bit high but this is a reliable product.
