I really liked the Bodum 3 cup French Press. I especially liked how easy it was to clean. The glass beaker is raised for rinsing. I was very careful with the mug but unfortunately I threw it off the counter after only having it for a year and it broke into a million pieces. Although Revain offer replacement glass for the Bodum, not the Chambord 3 cup. This is the perfect size for me, but it doesn't seem to be as popular as the other sizes. I went to the Bodum website and they have a replacement for 3 cups - $20. Although I haven't checked, I assume shipping costs apply and Revain sells new 3 cups for $29. Damn. I now have a cheaper version with a plastic exterior and a fixed lens. It makes good coffee but I don't like the look of the plastic body despite being less fragile. Coffee grounds get stuck between the plastic and glass, which annoys me too!
