I just got a DVR and went for a walk. The quality is excellent and the ability to stream live on FB (hope you all know what a social media platform is) adds another dimension. If you ever want to get behind the wheel and criticize how bad or good the drivers are ;) I just need to set the date and time and convert miles to kilometers (I'm in Canada). I had an issue with audio static, but when I stopped using the car's built-in USB port and used a 12V to USB adapter, there was no static (probably a filter in the adapter). Shipping was fast from Wisconsin. (love that state) to Manitoba and the packaging was exceptional. There is great customer service and they answer you. I am very happy with the company. Worth every penny. To update; I've been using this for a few days and here are my final thoughts and feedback on the dash cam (yes, still worth every penny). Use MAP video viewing software, which uses GPS to show your location on a map as you drive. I noticed that you can't switch to kilometers and the camera only records speed in miles. Something to consider. You need to go to the ROVI website, find your dash cam, click on the download tab there and download the app. However, if you want to install it on Windows 10, you will get a warning that it is an unrecognized application. Click "More Info" and then click "Run Anyway" and AWS Player will be installed. For AWS Player, the map type doesn't show Google maps (at least not for me since I'm in Canada) and the only map that works is the Baidu map (Chinese map). Company I guess), but it won't track my driving unless I change the speed unit from km/h to mph. In general it works. I decided to try another free GPS DVR tracking software. I was trying the free version of Dashcam Viewer and needed to download a codec pack (the software will ask for it on startup). My ROVI is not in the list of supported DVRs. I tried it anyway and it was amazing. Displays satellite view on Google Maps and can change speed in kilometers. The app shows the correct speed in KPH (while the DVR video keeps showing miles per hour). There's a lot more, but too much to go through. I like this Dash Cam View software much more and would recommend it to my gamer especially if you need it for legal and/or insurance reasons. I would post the link here because it's not allowed, so just search "dashcamviewer" and you'll find it.
