Love the case. The black matte is sexy. When open the apple logo shines through.I have two macbook pros- the 2011 and recent retina. The retina laptop is sleek and thin. By adding this case, it is as thick as it's predecessor and almost as heavy. The cost of protection. I have to admit, not sure how much fall protection this case will offer.I was looking for a case that would protect my laptop from scratches. This does that. Given the added weight, I maybe should have gone for a bodyguardz sticker cover. All that being said, I will keep it cuz it looks cool. :-)UPDATE: After using it for a couple of days, I noticed that the top and bottom portion of the case did not line up. Also, the bottom (front) part of the case was sharp and stuck up a bit - thereby making my wrists hurt. I removed the case and with a bit of sand paper, sanded down all of the edges. Wow, what a difference. The case now lines up nicely and it is smooth to the touch. Worth the small amount of trouble given the huge cost savings.
