I was surprised at how well this device started up and ran. This is the standard Windows 10 Pro operating system. It has a 60GB hard drive with Windows pre-installed. Yes: 60GB. There are about 36.7 GB left. I think most people will soon run out of disk space. It only has 4MB of RAM, which, along with a relatively slow processor and small hard drive, can become a problem for memory-intensive programs - for example, when many windows are open in the browser. I would suggest going into system apps and deleting pre-installed apps that you know you will never use. This gives you a little more storage space for the programs you want to add. The box has one USB 3.0 port and two USB 2.0 ports. I use USB 2.0 ports for keyboard and mouse. Port 3.0 opens the door to more storage space. 128GB sticks are not that expensive. With more and more apps using the cloud for storage, 128GB could be enough. If you need more storage space, consider an external drive. Miniforum advises using hard drives that are not powered by the computer, since the computer's power supply is not designed for such loads. The best solution is a powered 3.0 hub, which will power the external drive and also give you more ports for other things. I tried both the WD 4 Terabyte Passbook and the 500GB Samsung Solid State Drive (SSD). Or it works fine. An SSD will probably be faster and more reliable. I'm a developer and will be using it as a Linux development server, which will likely require its limitations. I would give it five stars but technical support is limited. There are no instructions in the box or on their website. Their website provides a forum, but joining the forum is difficult. They require verification. It's been a day since I signed up and I still haven't received the confirmation email I promised. They provide an email address for support but it takes a long time to get a reply.
