Soft, comfortable, warm in cold weather (today: 32 and windy). I have a large head: 22.5" circumference and it fits. The "dome" is so roomy that I can wear a bun or pony tail underneath. But it's so roomy that honestly, the shape looks just like a shower cap. My husband hates it and says it doesn't look like a beret because it's not flat on top. True, it's very "slouchy" on the sides and the back; so much that it tends to slip down my forehead. I can fold the edges under, and it solves the slipping problem but not the shower cap issue. I love everything but the look. Maybe this is just a glitch with the one I received. It's so warm and comfortable. Not sure if I'll keep it.
