Review on πŸ”‹ Lixada Solar Panel Charger USB Port - Compact Monocrystalline Silicon Power Bank for Cell Phone Charging during Camping Trips by Jessica Hill

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Panel 5W. Good design, manufactured performance.

The panel is well made (although the USB port cover is flimsy) but it's a 5w panel not the 10w panel as advertised hence the other negative reviews and my low rating. A normal charge these days is at least 1000mA. In direct sunlight, I couldn't get more than 440mA. It works, it's just not a 10W panel and it usually charges very slowly. Why does it matter? A standard charge of 1000mA at 5V is 5W. If the panel is rated for 5 watts then it needs the perfect weather/time/position to do it. A 10W panel could have delivered the 5W output you're looking for much more easily in less than ideal conditions. This is not a 10W panel. So it's probably not what you're looking for if you're looking for a decent load. lead wires or visible silicon structure). 10-series cells should provide around 6V, adjustable to 5V. However, the size of a single cell is only 19mm x 125mm, so 0.00022mW/mm^2 (22% effective cell, 1 solar irradiance) is the maximum is of 520 mW per cell. 10 times as much as 10 cells, and the maximum power is about 5.2 W. This eliminates losses in packaging and buck regulators. And you're very lucky to be able to get 5W (1000mA at 5V) output even at maximum sunlight. The description says USB 1200mA output is not possible unless you were on the surface of the sun as another reviewer mentioned :-) If this was helpful, click below. Thanks very much!
