I would like to start by saying that the tire in question was worn above the product bar (less than 1/16 inch tread left). I removed the screw about an inch from the edge of the tread. He just pierced the tire with the tip of the screw. I found that the smaller of the plugs was big enough to cover the hole, but after screwing it into the hole I sprayed it with soapy water and it was still leaking. I took it off and tried the big one and got the same result. Removed tires and used spare wheel. At some point in the future I will be using it on a larger profile tire and will post a review at that time. Maybe it was user error, not screwing it in deep enough. The screw did more damage than I could say. I'm not saying they're useless, just don't use them on a badly worn tire. , just to see if it would work.
