Review on EVEO Premium Monitor Desk Mount by Scott Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Could be better but could be worse EDIT: Find a better one

So I ordered this for my work place at home. I have a dual monitor set up in my office and I use my arm there. I love it and it makes setting up monitors really easy. This arm was definitely not that easy to set up. Not that assembly was difficult, but once everything was in place I had to move the C-bracket a few inches in one direction because the monitor was off-center. To do this I had to detach the monitor and then detach both parts of the arm to access the screw on the C-frame. To put the monitor directly on my desk I had to do this 3 times. Even now, when I move the monitor up or down, it moves left or right slightly. This is because you want your arms to be parallel to the wall and table, not perpendicular to the table. After all the fuss I wanted to return this but I really don't want to wait 3-4 weeks to get another mount as everyone orders home office stuff. If I get a chance I'll probably replace this one, but for the price it does the job. For perspective, I have a 28 inch Samsung monitor. This is a bit inconvenient since the VESA mount area on the monitor is at the very end. at the top of the screen. As a result, the screen wobbles, as it usually hangs in the hand. Poor design from Samsung but no reflective mount. good grip and easier to use compared to the small L-shaped ones you usually get with furniture. Edit: So it's really not the best monitor mount. I want to use a different one. There really isn't the freedom of movement I was hoping for. I'm small, my height is only 5ft 5in. On a typical desk, my monitor is at arm height and the bottom of my monitor is only 4.75 inches from the top of the desk. So I can't even get that arm to the right height, and I'm not that tall. Not very stable either. No matter how much you adjust the tension, it starts to sag. Unfortunately I can't return it, it ends up in the trash can. I would say there are better options and it's worth paying a little more.
