To be honest, at first glance I didn't think that they were effective. It was difficult to get the stickers to reflect. But I took a chance and put one on the back of my saddlebag - I want people coming behind me at night to know the bike is wider than they can see from the taillights alone. They glowed well with both conventional and halogen beams and at a decent distance. I will also put them on the sides of my saddlebags so those approaching from the crossing can see me better.
