Both of my children have worn these shoes for several years. My kids play hard all summer and the shoes look like new. They're durable enough for hiking streams and waterfalls, and comfortable enough to wear all day for camp sports. The outsole and insole are made of durable molded rubber with moderate arch support. The upper is made of durable canvas-like fabric. They are machine washable and damn I use them! I love closed toes; so many trips and camps/schools require closed toe shoes and my kids can still wear comfortable open toed sandals if needed. The shoes are adjustable with a Velcro strap at the ankle and a drawstring at the front. They seem a little big but I think they are made to be worn. My kids wear them all summer and in our warm climate all year round. They grow before they wear out. I will buy them again and again.
