Review on Mityvac MV8510 Silverline Elite Hand Pump: Ultimate Solution for Efficient Vacuuming Needs by Mark Jefferson

I'm a small engine tech and use this tester with 5-20 pressure and vacuum tests on it every day Stihl chainsaws. The sensor rotates and sits at an angle. I'm not a fan of either. My old pump (Stihl edition) had a straight fixed gauge which I was used to. I thought the twist/angle might increase on me, but it doesn't. The gauge only reads PSI, no BAR increment, which would be handy for me. As far as I know, the pressure gauge cannot be exchanged either, since it has a special swivel screw connection, not a thread. However, this pump is of high quality and is holding up well after a few months of daily use. The kit includes a long clear vinyl tube that can be glued to the end. You can release pressure or vacuum by holding the lever under the gauge, which I like. Switching between pressure and vacuum is also made easier by a quarter-turn knob under the pressure gauge. Positions are clearly marked.
