Review on Portable Surge Guard 44280 πŸ’‘ - 120V, 30A,Black: Top-notch Surge Protector by Brian Page

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Seems to be working but it melted the contact at the campsite

<edit update> After seeing what happened to us and then going back and reading all the reviews with photos we did found that we had the same error. everyone else, I had to revise my rating from 4 to 1 star! There has to be a birth defect in this device to see all types of RV have the same melted or melted candle problem. Unfortunately, my return window is now closed so I've lost $100, but if anyone asks me for any recommendations on this device, my answer is a resounding NO. I have one of these 30A protectors for our Summer 2 Remember 2020 to date. It worked great for the first 5 campgrounds until we got to Joplin MO KOA. We had electricity problems there, we only slept there and when it was time to leave in the morning I found that the surge arrester was stuck to the base. I was able to pull it out with some effort and found that one of the pins had melted and showed signs of a problem. Not sure if we had an over voltage or short or what happened but I was a bit shocked when I saw it on the unit's pins and no red lights on the panel.
