My daughter wears size 5 high pants, size 6 tops and size 9 shoes. She is tall and slim with a long waist. XS fits perfectly. After reading all the reviews I ordered both XS and Small. Your fingers fit too. I took a reviewer's advice and cut small holes in the bottom of her wrist so she could remove her hands without removing the entire suit. The XS fits comfortably in underpants. It took a few tries to get the layering right. Tight children's pajamas or long underwear are good. The lower part of the legs is made of slippery fabric. Something could be added to them. We used it for Halloween and she wore her red ladybug boots over it and she loved it. A pair of grippy socks will also work indoors.
