This really is an amazing capsule for the money. The light and strong leg locks work quickly, easily and securely. Settings are good, including a split center post for ground level work. Build quality is very good, with thoughtful additions like ball-head spirit levels and a retractable hook on the underside of the center post for hanging a stabilizing weight or camera bag. It has a large ball head with a good quick release. It should be noted that with medium sized lenses there is a slight downward drift after the ball head is locked onto the target and you should compensate for this by locking it slightly over the target. However, I have found this to be a common problem with ball heads in general, including my much more powerful Manfrotto ball head. The Manfrotto Capsule is an animal weighing about ten pounds. A lot stays in the car. I take this pod with me everywhere and it is a pleasure to carry and use. At four pounds, it won't kill your back. It's not graphite, but it's not $500 either. Need a $500 Capsule? Hey, if you've got that kind of cash to run away with, get a Gitzo. But if you just want to enhance your photos with something durable, good build quality and easy to transport, this is excellent value for money. I am satisfied with it and can only recommend it.
