Review on πŸ”Š Pyle White 400W Outdoor Portable Wireless PA Loudspeaker System with Rechargeable Battery, Auxiliary RCA Jack for iPod, Microphone Jack, USB/SD Reader, Wheels Gain, and DJ Controls - PCMX265W by Brandon Fernandez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent portable sound, terrible documentation.

This device performs as you would expect from a device of this size. It won't break through walls, but when our dance group performs at local festivals (away from an outlet), we and the audience can hear our music clearly, even as the main stage floods the park with bluegrass. I've tried this with a microphone (Pyle-Pro PDMIC58 Professional Moving Coil Dynamic Handheld Microphone) which has helped quieter speakers, but I can usually draw a crowd with my voice without help. No feedback issues - put the mic in front of the speaker to test the hat and there was no squeaking until it was a foot away. Wheels are good for moving it on sidewalks or indoors, but driving it over grass requires a cart and it's not heavy enough to carry. Haven't found any practical use for the pitch control - perhaps it's intended for an instrument playing in front of a recorded background. My main criticism is the manual, which is nothing more than an illustration of buttons and buttons with maybe a suggestion. their function. You can use it with a USB stick or SD card, but the file format is not specified anywhere. I had to experiment to find out that it only works with MP3 files and if there is another file in the folder you cannot scroll through the odd files or access other folders. The instructions say nothing about when to rotate and when to press, or which key selects which files. The display screen takes some time to scroll through the filename, so you need to put the title first. Or better yet, just plug in your iPod. Yesterday when I turned it on the lights started blinking in a *pop* pattern every second. Looked through the meager troubleshooting guide, couldn't find anything about it. (Yes, I tried turning it off and on again and it was plugged in and fully charged. Now what?) To sum it up, this is it. Decent compact portable sound at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
