Review on Logitech MX Keys Wireless Keyboard Black, English by Mateusz Roczon ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Took for work from home. There is a working laptop and my home PC + two monitors. The idea was to take a wireless keyboard to conveniently work with both PCs, from anywhere in the apartment. In amazon I came across this keyboard and realized that this is exactly what I need. While I have been using it for a month, the flight is normal + logitech products personally in my perception are of good quality and excellent service. At one time, the company replaced my defective logitech g603 mouse without any problems, which made it possible to be as sure as possible that I would not have problems with replacing the keyboard, although I admit that this is IMHO and I encountered people who had problems with logitech.

Pros
  • I have identified several advantages for myself: - Working with the keyboard is very convenient, as for me, the keys are pressed and felt much more convenient than on apple keyboards, both tactilely and in terms of the location of the keys. - Key travel is very pleasant. - The keyboard is very quiet, I often work at night, in headphones, and my wife constantly complained about the old mechanical keyboard, you can hear pressing the buttons of this one and the sound is rather lullingly pleasant. - Many convenient additional keys, such as a separate lock key (which would be especially convenient in the office), and multimedia keys. - Appearance. In appearance, it resembles the mac pro keyboard, which I originally considered. - Marks for touch typing are perfectly tactile, which greatly reduces the time to adapt to the new keyboard + the main buttons come with holes in which fingers fit very comfortably, preventing them from slipping. - Switching between devices is very convenient. The keyboard can remember three connected devices and quickly switch between them by pressing special keys. The killer feature that sold me this keyboard, if the mx mouse can do the same, I'm ready to take it, even for a similar price. - The keyboard has a built-in battery and holds a charge perfectly, especially if you turn off unnecessary backlighting. - Although the backlight is not a plus for me - the backlight itself looks nice and has the ability to adjust - In the reviews, when I chose it, they wrote that the keyboard does not work when charging - this is unreliable information. When charging, the keyboard works without problems, with full functionality (tested specifically).
Cons
  • For myself, I identified several shortcomings - but they most likely will not be relevant for the majority. - There is an adjustable backlight. I own touch typing and for me it has no meaning, while I'm sure that if it weren't there, then the keyboard would probably be cheaper by a couple of thousand. - The keyboard starts connecting to the PC only after the OS is loaded, as a result - there is no way to work with the BIOS through it. I do not exclude that there is still a possibility, but without dancing with a tambourine it will not start. Although this connection of any old usb keyboard is being treated, it can still blur the feeling of working with it, especially for the price of 10k. But in general, this is a logical and expected behavior for any bluetooth keyboard, but an adapter was included, which, as I understand it, is connected via a radio channel, and according to the judge, it should have been able to work in the BIOS, but no. But nevertheless, I can not call it a full-fledged minus. - Works perfectly with windows and mac OS, but in ubuntu it takes about 2-3 seconds to switch. Not fatal but can be annoying from time to time. (Again, more of a linux fault than a keyboard fault)
