Review on 📻 Kaito KA110: Compact Digital Radio & MP3 Player with Weather Updates & Micro-SD Card Reader by David Hansen

Radio only lasted 6 months

I cannot recommend this radio as the metal bracket inside the case (where you plug in the USB cable to charge the battery) broke after 6 months of ownership. The small cable connector was initially difficult to get into the slot and had to be forced in at times, but now it doesn't fit at all. After that broke, I couldn't charge the battery in the radio (and you can't use regular batteries with it). It turns off completely for just a few seconds after turning on the radio, so it's useless now! The radio should be better finished and the parts shouldn't break so easily after only 6 months of use! Now it's too late for me to return it for a refund so I lost that amount of money! There were other oddities about him too. Even if the battery could be charged, it was almost never fully charged. Judging by the icon on the LCD, it only got 3/4 (and sometimes not that much) charge after several hours of charging. If I played almost the entire radio recording but for some reason had to stop before I was finished listening, the radio would often reset when I turned it back on to continue playing the same program. back to the beginning of the program! It's supposed to save space to resume playback later, but rarely works properly. I had to play or fast forward most of the program to get back to where I left off. This was difficult and time consuming as I had to hold down the FF button with my finger for a very long time until I got back to where I left off in the program. There is no way to fix the FF key. Needless to say, it was uncomfortable! I often had to just give up and delete a program (that I hadn't finished listening to) from the memory card to make room for other programs. There must be some reliable way to save where you left off and resume playback later, but there doesn't seem to be one. Everything else on the radio seems fine. I usually only listen to AM for my radio program, so I can't tell you exactly what FM sounds like. I had a similar radio a few years ago but it lasted at least 3 years before it broke. This one didn't even last a year! So having had so many problems with all the issues listed I cannot recommend this radio.
