Compact weather radio with AM/FM and MP3

We are happy with this rechargeable weather radio but my husband wanted to use it to listen to the radio at night. Glad headphones fit, but the reason we only gave it a 4 star rating is that neither we nor our tech-savvy sons have figured out how to program the AM and FM preset stations. Maybe this is not possible. If anyone knows how please comment on this review and if we can figure it out I will definitely upgrade my rating to 5 stars.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Compact, good sound for its size.

Accepts one unit per month. Use this tiny AM/FM weather radio with headphones primarily for the pool and beach. Can also be used for emergency radio when home power is off. Designed with many features. Compact, the sound isn't bad for the size, but there aren't enough hours. Use the highlight feature to highlight the station number. Other features didn't interest me - recorder, mp3 player, memory card, recording, etc. The promotional copy was intended to remind customers that they needed a wall

Pros
  • Stable results during testing
Cons
  • Operating speed

The NOAA Kaito KA110 Compact Digital AM/FM Radio is ideal for anyone who wants a home radio for emergencies, or who wants a radio at home (or at work, if permitted). ). I haven't had a radio at home to listen to, probably since the early 2000s when players with radios started showing up. However, most of the radio I've listened to since then has been in my car. that comes with a satellite TV or online radio service). This radio needed to be charged (via a micro USB cable) and I let it charge…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Annoyed me

Radio only lasted 6 months

I cannot recommend this radio as the metal bracket inside the case (where you plug in the USB cable to charge the battery) broke after 6 months of ownership. The small cable connector was initially difficult to get into the slot and had to be forced in at times, but now it doesn't fit at all. After that broke, I couldn't charge the battery in the radio (and you can't use regular batteries with it). It turns off completely for just a few seconds after turning on the radio, so it's useless now…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Not sure

First of all I have to say that I prefer the Kaito KA 580 to this new brand model from Retekess, it suits the DSP radio, I mean it's not as bad as some digital DSP models, but it's not that outstanding due to almost identical ranges and features, apart from the fact that the Kaito KA 580 has multiple power supplies while this one has only one, a BL-5C lithium battery. And the KA 580 has a light (it doesn't) and a siren (again, the KA110 doesn't work). Of course the KA 580 costs $15 more but…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
