Revainrating 5 out of 5

Like a good "price ". I installed it myself and have been using it for a week now. I will probably buy it again.

It will be interesting to see how long "life" will be. I consider this an above average risk purchase. I gave it 4 stars mainly because I don't think I have the experience to know what a 5 star dashcam is. I bought this because I've recently moved and the area I currently live in is 'obsessed' with motorists. Going to work is more of a frog game than a commute. The only thing I didn't notice when I bought it is that you render half your "fps" with the rear camera on. I think, if you have both turned on, record at 30 FPS. If you're just moving forward, it's recording at 60 frames per second. It's not a deal killer, it makes sense from a technical standpoint considering this is an entry-level product, not the best of the bunch. FPS affects image quality, and in the end it probably doesn't matter. The rest of the installation was simple and straightforward. I'm skilled, so I don't need instructions for any of this, but instructions, well, anyway. You could use some work. I went to them for "settings" and had to go to YouTube to find out everything. This is my first DVR and I didn't know everything it does. After that it started and worked as advertised, WiFi and smartphone really make it much easier to use, very nice feature, I wouldn't go for another one that didn't have this feature now that I've used it. I bought a park kit, I don't think I knew that the park kit comes with an adjustable voltage cutoff. So if you leave it and don't use the car for a few days, you can choose a voltage around 11.8V 12.4 to turn off the camera when your voltage drops from a tie to that point. Nice feature. A recommendation: if you install it yourself and plan to use "safety taps", you should buy them at the same time. I went to O'reillys and paid $7 each. You can get 10 for about the same $ here.
