I have arthritis in both knees and in addition to the pain, deteriorating joints have led to instability and balance issues. I tried two other popular brands of kinesiotape and was very disappointed. Despite using a prep spray, I found both brands to be completely ineffective as they began to flake off after just a few hours. One stamp wasn't even enough to put pants on - the tape came off the fabric of the pants a few minutes after I applied the tape to my knees. I tried to get all lotion off my feet despite dry skin and even tried rubbing alcohol on the area before applying the tape. At best I was able to get 2 to 3 hours before the tape peeled off. I decided to try a different brand because as long as the band lasts it will provide my weakened knees with much needed support. RockTape lasted 24 hours! I didn't try to shower with it, instead I applied it (along with the prep spray) to dry skin after the shower. That went through two changes of clothes and all night! In the morning it started peeling off a bit so I took it off, showered and started over. Yesterday was one of the most productive days I've had in a long time, mostly because the cassette allowed me to stand and walk a lot more than usual.
