Used on several vehicles. Prepare the surface properly to avoid sagging. Used about 16 hours a day on the ceiling of a black car parked outside. For 2 years not a single plate has fallen off. No bad smell. Works like any sound insulation of similar thickness. The easy-to-use slide lets you know where you pressed.
