I love my new kneeboard! My phone, tablet, and portable hard drive all fit in the slots provided, although I have to use the same slot (the one closest to the edge is slightly larger than the one further away). My laptop has enough space to work with a mouse. The palm rest is nice to lean on, but my laptop is higher than the palm rest so I'm not very comfortable when typing. It's solid and durable. I wouldn't eat over it as there are mouse pads inlaid on both sides. Crumbs can get caught on the edges. The board is compact in the sense that it is thin and easy to store both horizontally and standing against a wall. I thought the lack of padding on the bottom would make it uncomfortable, but I was surprised. It sits easily in my lap if not wider than the armrests of whatever chair you're using. I am very satisfied with this product.
