Review on Intermatic IG2240 IMSK Intermatic Smart Guard IG2240 IMSK Whole Surge Protector by Bernardino Suazo

Bought this after a lightning strike damaged our electronics for about $6,000. Hope this helps with future power surges. Although I understand that a surge is a godsend when it comes to damaging various items in your home. For the price it's worth it! Very easy assembly, probably not a project for every DIY enthusiast. But anyone with basic wiring experience can install this. Your switch box type will require an additional double pole switch which is not included in this package for understandable reasons. Depending on your setup and the design of your home, the included pigtails may be short for connection to your main electrical panel. I chose to flush mount the surge protector as the pigtails were too short. This is my only complaint about this product. Overall easy installation and great looks. I like the idea of pluggable modules in case of a power surge. The only downside I see is that modules may eventually become unavailable. Overall a good product and worth buying at the moment just to have peace of mind.
