I bought the iX6820 as a workhorse to take my impressive Canon Pro-100 off 'work duties' and turn it back into a hobby. I'll spend half the time and $ tanking iX vs Pro-100. The iX is also fairly quiet compared to the previous Canon Pixma printers I've owned, although not as quiet as the near-silent Pro-100. Thanks to the large printhead, print speeds are extremely fast in "Standard" mode, while still delivering excellent quality for small business presentations on heavier media. The High Quality mode is just great, and you can still take borderless 4x6 photos in less than 30 seconds. Setting up the wireless network was easy with the WPS button on my Bell router. For some reason the first attempt didn't work, but the 2nd round connected immediately and stayed online. Actually, I have the problem that Windows 10 shows offline printers on one of my computers; but my phone still prints direct so obviously this is an MS issue. I've done some head-to-head photo comparisons with my Pro-100 and I have to say that the result is pretty good for a machine that has four fewer cartridges. However, I think it makes up for the slightly oversaturated colors and the color gamut is obviously not that wide, especially the grayscale. Most users would still be happy about photos on decent paper. Just stay away from that HP Vivid Junk paper - I only use it for flipcharts with glossy text for work - it's horribly blurry for photos. Decent tank trucks are very cheap to find, or you can buy clear auto-launch reusable trucks. -Reset chips to easily create your own. Precision Colors is the next best option after Canon. If you need to print larger formats like 11 x 17 tabloids or 13 x 19 posters, this device is a BIG BUY if you have a little more space and don't need all the extra scan, copy and fax capabilities. take up more space. I highly recommend this car.
